$40,000 Cash Reward for Info on Cold Case.

On March 14, 2026, I checked the Norman Crime Stoppers website. At the top of the page is a banner that reads “Norman crime stoppers has closed down”. The p3tips account is no longer accepting tips, and on the app, it redirects to Oklahoma City Crime Stoppers. This raises questions about the current status of the $40,000 reward. Please contact Norman PD for clarification.

Until further notice, I would advise anyone with information about Owachige’s murder to contact the Norman Police Department at 405-366-5235 or submit an online tip.

New Reward Offered for Information on Norman Cold Case
The family of Owachige Osceola, in partnership with Norman Crime Stoppers, is now offering a $40,000 cash reward for new information that leads to the arrest of the person(s) responsible for her death.
On September 25, 2013, Norman Police were called to check the welfare of 27-year-old Owachige Osceola who lived in a home in the 3200 block of Ridgecrest Court. The caller expressed concern for Osceola’s well-being after not being able to reach her. When officers arrived, they found the front door of the home open and Osceola deceased inside.
Evidence discovered during the course of the investigation led detectives to consider her death to be a homicide. Detectives are now hopeful that the increased cash reward will encourage those with information regarding Osceola’s death to come forward, helping to bring some closure to her family.
Anyone with information regarding the death of Osceola is encouraged to contact Norman Crime Stoppers. Anonymous tips can be submitted using text message by sending the tip and the agency code “TIP1323” to 274637 (CRIMES), online using the website submission form located at normanpd.normanok.gov, or calling 405-366-STOP. https://www.normancrimestoppers.org/

The family of Owachige Osceola currently lives in Florida but is willing to do phone interviews with the media regarding the new reward. For contact information, call Sarah Schettler at 405-307-7122. pdpio@normanok.gov

Owachige was a member of the Seminole Tribe of Florida.
